Take me straight to the Photo Album!
Created volcanically and largest of the 7 Canary Islands, Tenerife has so much to offer. Beaches, offering anything from black volcanic sand to golden sand, man-made to natural beauty, all on turquoise blue waters, resorts for every budget and lifestyle and night clubs to rival any big city. A comfortable climate with a year round average of 22 °C, low air pollution and low rainfall rounds out the attraction of this beautiful destination.
Tourism is the main industry of Tenerife, with around 4 million visitors yearly, mostly Europeans. In addition to the beaches, visitors can found golfing on one of the 10 quality courses which offer affordable rates and are all open to the public. The terrain makes for some interesting courses along with the great temperatures.
Germans refer to Tenerife as Wanderparadies – Hiking Heaven, with good reason. National parks, forests and valleys offer countless trekking trails, suitable for both hiking and mountain biking. Most of the trails are broken down into 3 categories: More than a day, 50 km or less and 10 km or less. More info below.
Along with the numerous all inclusive resorts, comes the desire to party and Tenerife does not disappoint. With hundreds of bars, pubs and nightclubs to choose from, you can party until the wee hours of the morning at some of the hottest spots. Foam parties, international DJ’s, dancing, tappas and cocktails add up to a clubbing vacation!
In addition to Beaches, Golfing, Hiking and Clubbing, there is Shopping, Spa, Sailing, Scuba, Wine Tasting, Historic Tours, Camping, Surfing and good old fashioned eating rounding out the extensive list of things to do on this fabulous Island of Tenerife. Where is your next vacation?
