SenS Hotel Ubud

Bali’s Ubud is about Relaxation & Culture, SenS Spa Hotel is an Oasis within & more affordable than you might think.

Hotel Name: SenS Hotel Ubud
Address: Jl. Sukma, Tebesaya, Ubud, Petulu, Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali 80571

Note: Although invited by SenS Hotel, the following review reflects my personal experience based on my stay.

A very warm welcome awaited us as we entered the four star Boutique SenS Hotel Ubud. We were greeted with refreshing wet towels, followed by small mocktail refreshments and a delectable sweet.

The Lobby is not overpowering huge, rather cozy with comfortable seating in rich burgundy reds and gold. Indonesian Balinese music plays softly in the background.  Such a relaxing ambiance!

The Room – Superior King:  Warmly decorated in soft greens and beige, it is extremely inviting. A king size bed with wonderful covers and big fluffy pillows begged us to cuddle in.  A pillow menu explains available choices to ensure the most comfortable night of sleep. Unfortunately, the pillows on the menu were not on the bed; certainly had I asked, they would have magically appeared.

Little things like a make up mirror, lit closets, courtesy bottled water, slippers, bathrobes, room service (surcharge) and a well stocked mini bar (surcharge) are what make SenS Hotel feel like a step above the rest.

The SenS is a wonderfully relaxing hotel with attentive staff

A welcome letter sitting on the work desk was a nice touch. Bonus: International Outlets means no adaptor necessary.  Oh, and don’t let me forget, we even had turn down service!

Room Amenities: Iron, ironing board, umbrella, safe, shower gel body lotion, shampoo 2 in 1, sewing kit, toothpaste, toothbrush, earbuds, cotton balls, shower cap, hairdryer, makeup mirror, international plugs / receptacles.

Sleep was divine in the not too hard, not too soft king size bed. Not a single sound penetrated into our room and sweet dreams came hard and fast after our super active day.  Feeling like Goldilocks without the 3 bears!

The Pool: A glistening blue infinity pool tempts you take a swim, whether just to refresh yourself from the Ubud tropical heat or to have a little exercise. Lounge chairs and towels are available; people were busy soaking in the sun and reading books.

The Restaurant: Yonne Cafe & Bar, available to hotel guests, as well as outside guests.  Depending on booking and number of days, the Breakfast Buffet is inclusive, otherwise breakfast, lunch and dinner is  available for a surcharge. Read: Yonne Cafe & Bar Experience Review.

The Spa: SenS Spa, complete with fitness area is available to visitors as well as hotel guests. Prices vary according to treatment. We chose the SenS of Two, a Balinese Couple Massage.

Location / Convenience: Taxi and Cafes are available within a short walking distance. Most places in the immediate area close by 10 pm.  For sightseeing and later opened bars, alternative transportation is needed.

Would I recommend it? Yes, definitely!  The SenS is a wonderfully relaxing hotel with attentive staff who are always ready, waiting and willing to fulfill your every wish!  Prices are incredibly good, especially for what you get. There is no reason not to book this hotel.

Cost:  We were invited, but on the SenS website, prices start at around IDR 1,100,000 per night / €67 / US$80 (at time of publication / during our stay).
