Plaza Premium Lounge

Catch up on Work, Enjoy a Meal or Relax in the Spa.  Changi Airport Singapore Plaza Premium Lounge.

Name: Plaza Premium Lounge

AddressLevel 3, Departure / Transit Lounge West, Terminal 1, Singapore Changi Airport

Note:  This is an independent review based on my personal experience.

Plaza Premium Lounge invited us to enjoy their 24 hour facilities on our recent visit to Singapore.  They have been voted the Worlds Best Airport Lounge in both 2016 & 2017, so we were looking forward to the visit.  Here is a general rundown of the lounge and what it has to offer.

Rest Area / Lounge – comfy big arm chairs are in a warmly lit area, a few stools are also available in the area facing the tarmac.  In addition, there are single pod areas offering a little extra privacy for those hoping to catch up on work.  A separate are for dining is available with plenty of cafe style seating.

Wifi and Recharging Stations are available in all pods as well as armchair seating.  Unfortunately,  the majority of USB plugs are defect, completely wobbly, almost impossible to get a connection.

A good selection of Newspapers and Magazines are at the guest’s disposal; TV’s with news programs are available for viewing pleasure.

A Flight Departure Info Board keeps you up to the minute, there are no flight announcements.

Beverages:  Non- alcoholic beverages are free to take, self serve.  A full service bar is available for alcoholic beverages on an extra cost per drink basis.

Food – They offer buffet as well as a la Carte. Between 4 am and 6 am the buffet is reduced to cereals, fruit and bread, but you can order Singapore Laska which was delicious or Singapore Chicken Rice, also good, especially the rice which was topped with sweet pickles.

Shower – the shower is included for lounge guests, but if you are not a guest, the fee is SGD 16 / €10 / US$12 with amenities (towels, shower gel, shampoo) and a welcome drink.

Spa – Holistic treatments including Head and Shoulder Massages and Foot Massages are available at a surcharge.

Resting Suites – Single room and Family Rooms are available for a fee.

Needless to say, we had a wonderful, relaxing stay including some great food, catching up on some work and enjoying the views.

Lounge Cost: SGD 58 / €35 / US$44 for 5 hours or SGD 105 / €64 / US$80 for 10 hours.

…three private resting suites, six shower rooms with amenities (one of which is wheelchair-friendly), two VIP rooms, massage and nail care services, comfortable seatings, complimentary Wi-Fi, charging stations, flight information, baggage handling, TV channels, choice of newspapers and magazines for leisure reading.
