Promises of a not so average musical are evident as we entered the Celebrity Reflection Theatre – cheeky performers were busy circulating, posing and cavorting with the audience. The atmosphere was abuzz with excitement and anticipation and we were not to be disappointed.
Our Celebrity Today planner described the Reflection Theatre evening show as “A heartwarming story that celebrates the power of friendship, laughter and music”. They failed to mention the incredible musicians, fast-paced choreography and the dynamic, talented cast who made us believe we were all part of a wonderful party celebration!
The flamboyant, high-powered cast convinced us they were having a blast, belying the fact that they put in countless hours, pains and injuries practising and perfecting this wonderful show. One has to highly respect the dedication and work this team gives to their profession, and ultimately pass on to their mesmerized spectators.
Often overlooked, nevertheless crucial to the show’s success and feeling, was the fantastic musical talents of the musicians, inconspicuously seated on either sides of the sets, providing the toe tapping live music. Their passion for playing was evident in the smiles on their faces as they showcased their incredible instrumental musicianship skills. Kudos!
A captivated audience tapped, clapped and sang their way through the spectacular free-wheeling, hippie-feeling, easy going bohemian vibe of the delightful show.
