Our morning at the beach created quite an appetite. We stopped at a roadside restaurant called Bia Ruou Phu Quoc which we later found out also boasts the Bia Tuoi Phu Quoc Craft Beer micro breweryIt is conveniently located close to Coconut Prison and Emerald Bay so it was a perfect stop while waiting for the prison to open.

The owner, who speaks very good English, is running a Micro Brewery & Restaurant serving traditional Vietnamese food with a twist. He takes the time to explain his dishes and every dish we tried was well worth it. Bursting with flavor!

We ordered:
– stir fried cabbage with oyster sauce & fried garlic
– Shrimps sautéed in beer, served with lemon Thai chili sauce & fresh basil
– Fried Rice with egg omelette, pepper, fried garlic, parsley and a spicy chili fish sauce
– 1 liter of craft beer
– 1 water

Total Cost: 120.000 dong / €4.50 / USD$5.30
